Jaiden rVa James was born when the minds of two young creatives, Rasharn de Vera Agyemang & Jaiden James, came together. The label's aim is to deliver contemporary menswear, cutting-edge but always wearable designs and to respect and explore the male anatomy. A shirt is never just a shirt, nor are trousers just trousers. It is about exploring each garment differently and understanding how the fit and cut are of the utmost importance in relation to the wearer’s body. The aim is to capture the zeitgeist of fashion each season and always create extremely well-made timeless pieces.

Nothing inspires us like…
We are inspired by many different cultures depending on the theme of the collection. So far we have been inspired by our own African heritage, London, the city in which we reside, and the Spanish culture...

We hope…
That menswear can be seen one day as equal to womenswear

Fashion can sometimes...
Be quite hard, but nothing in life comes easy, and if you love it, you will persist through the dark hours on to brighter ones.

We got where we are...
By not being too shy when most needed.

Deadlines catch up on me.

Creativity comes from…
Anything and everything. Everyone is creative, but in different fields.

If I could...
I would be a creative director of a larger lab.

NYC/London/Paris/Milan are…
London is where the young can cut their teeth in many different artistic media / Paris is the centre of couture and high fashion / Milan is avant-garde fahion and art / NYC is another incubator of young arts.

I get bored easily...
Which is why I am in fashion, I need to constantly be working on the next collection.

I tried to ilve...
Without fashion and it didn't work for me.

I love getting older...
Because with age comes knowledge.
