Ariane is based in Valladolid, Mexico. She studied at Old School. Her collections are produced in Mexico.

Ariane Dutzi is the designer and founder of dutzi design, inc.. She was a former fashion editor in Paris and New York, before she moved to Mexico to design accessories and start the dutzi women's workshop there. She is an idealist, and someone who believes in making the world a better place. She believes that business is not only to make money, but also to give back. In 2009 she started the dutzi workshop in Valladolid, Yucatan. It is a place where women meet, work together and learn the basic rules of entrepreneurship. It was important for Ariane Dutzi not only to give these women work, but to encourage and empower them. Each woman is paid per bag she makes. This way she can decide on her own how much money she wants to make. The designer didn't just want to create another bag, but wanted to give back to society. All bags are handmade by Mayan women. Ariane Dutzi works mainly with recycled materials, such as Vintage burlap and white raphia. The bags are sold in Mexico, USA, Italy and Japan. We ship worldwide. Ariane Dutzi divides her time between New York and Valladolid, where she shares her home with two Jack Russell terriers, Luna and Cinza.
