Dhoriane's collection is a journey, a blend of many different things: her textiles background, photography, her love for great urban environments , urban apparel, but also a true passion for travel and discovering different cultures. For this project she focused more particularly on North-East region in Africa: the Tribe named Tuareg who lives and travels through out the deserts of Libya , Sudan and Chad. By experimenting with liquid dye and bleach she produced bespoke and unique meters of printed textiles : each meter is unique because the process is fully "hand-made" she emulate the Tuareg who have been hand-dying their own printed clothing for centuries. Therefore Dhoriane could really do justice to the intensity and the depth of the colours from the Tuareg Tribe her primary inspiration, which really shaped this project. Dhoriane's main aim really is to showcase diversity in her printing abilities by using different media : screen printing, tie&dye, and foiling but also to showcase a smooth blend between "urban-wear" and “smart-wear”. The “western“ suit doesn’t have to be the ultimate alternative in order to look smart and stylish .

Dhoriane is a London based, born French textiles menswear designer . She studied in Paris and then London.
She has genuine and deep passion for colours , textures and how you can translate that into a garment, a space, or an object.
She was extremely lucky to travel from a very young age which develop her curiosity and vivid passion for foreign cultures and traditions. As a result, quite often the starting point of her projects are a tribe or a culture at the opposite of the Western culture she already knows .
Dhoriane doesn't believe there is only one way to be a part of the fashion industry : there are as many ways as there are designers.
Dhoriane believes people will always quickly try to put you in box, simply because it is easier and safer .
Therefore she believes the best thing you can do is to tailored this box from every angle in order to make sure you are not being put in A box,in but Your box.
Dhoriane will graduate in 2012 which will be then the beginning of the making of her own box.
