DEMISEMIQUAVER

This season, demisemiquaver draws inspiration from the men’s shirt and its fabrications. Various components of the shirt are reworked and constructed with a mix of cotton linen, twills, poplin, tulle and jerseys to create a wardrobe that translates into relaxed, feminine chic. As a starting point of each design, the basic shirt is broken down into parts. These parts would then be worked on by incorporating different elements to create new shapes and lines. Through the process of pairing details and textiles in unexpected combinations, demisemiquaver delivers a fresh mix of femininity and simplicity for the modern woman. The muted colour palette consists of varying tones of blues with subtle shots of colours in certain pieces. Stripes, checks and plaids are interspersed with denim and jerseys to create visual interest and evoke a little curiosity for the viewer and wearer.
