Everything comes from a fixation on icebergs; floating ice buildings that change randomly depending on their environment. Rough and imposing natural structures that are melancholic and minimalist at the same time. This union between the perfect and the primitive creates an aesthetic symbiosis which is Monsieur Primitif´s main concept. And also create a second one: The retrieval and updating of modern tailoring with new shapes, materials and details in its construction.

About the Designer

David is based in Barcelona, Spain. He studied at Felicidad Duce School of Fashion Design. His collections are produced in Spain.

Menswear fashion designer, David Cabra, was born in Bogotá, Colombia. In 2006 he moved to Barcelona, Spain, to major in fashion design, graduating in 2010 from the Felicidad Duce School of Fashion Design. That same year, he won the prize for the Best Men’s Collection from MODAFAD and the prize for Creativity & Vanguardism in the Joaquin Mercader’s Contest for Young Designers. He has worked with designers such as Josep Abril and Karlotalaspalas, as well as participated in renowned showrooms and fashion fairs like 080 Barcelona Fashion, Collection Prèmiere Moscow and The Brandery. His design philoshophy begins from a utilitarian and vanguardist point of view, from which he develops concepts from their most basic form with the intention of finding different results through innovation in the use of textiles and garment construction.
