Inspired by: PANORAMA ISLAND by Suehiro Maruo. A man dreams of creating an artificial island on the ocean, like another Eden. He wants to live a free, lustful and luscious life on the island, with orgies, banquets etc... To achieve this, he will stage his own death, deceive, fall in love, kill his love before blowing himself up in fireworks over his artificial paradise. Painted canvases, knitted jacquards, coated silks, a panorama of materials and colours is created to express the rise and fall of this mad man. Photography: Chris Lam

About the Designer

Daniel is based in Paris, France. He studied at Institut Francais de la Mode and graduated in 2011. His collections are produced in France.

I am French, I have studied in the UK at Central Saint Martins College focusing on menswear. I decided to leave the course and went to work for Tesco as a Studio Assistant and then two seasons at Raf Simons.
I felt I wanted to take a break from the familiar designing at a desk the whole day so I went to Japan for 2 1/2 months and worked on organic farms. I have now sucessfully completed my MA at IFM, Paris. While on the course I did some design for JM Weston footwear and ID BY ME cashmere.
I'm currently working on a new menswear project, trying to create a different, more creative and more luxurious way to approach men's garments.
