DANA_JASINKEVICA

At the beginning of September 2012 I decided to make a collection inspired from Catholic church head - pope Benedict XVI. At this time nobody had ever thought about the situation what happened in February 2013 - the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI. The papal conclave elected Bergoglio, who chose the papal name Francis in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi. Isn't that a mistic and paradox - catch the world's most important religious event before it had even happened? The main idea is to make people think about spiritual leader inside themselves - can't we be the one who decide what to do, in what do we believe and how to plan our life? Sometimes it's hard to believe that in 21st century church dogma and completely inelastic behavior can be real. But it is. And that's why this collection is made. Energy ball - dedication to ex-pope Benedict XIV and inspiration for the new one - Francis. Because of Francis identity (South America) there are some ethnic feeling inside the details. Religion has always been close to me. Before studying fashion design I decided to study theologhy. But it followed me in a different way.
