CRYSTALMCFARLANE

Having just completed my finial collection the theme was historical. I looked at armoury dating back to the Henry VIII era. When visiting the Henry VIII exhibition, I found that each piece was enriched with stories of battle, bravery and strength; they almost have a sense of enchantment and mystery. I analysed the shapes, their construction and translated them into lightweight fabric such as silks, silk cottons and light suiting. I injected a sense of serenity and calmness with a palette of cool navy blues and greys. My aim was to create timeless pieces that you could fall in love captivating you with the craftsmanship, dedication, and intricacy enabling the wearer to create mystery and stories of enchantment all of their own.
