Pyromaniac by mp™ is currently looking for a temporary Public Relations/Special Events/Marketing Assistant (internship). This is a fun and exciting hybrid position to help build the brand Pyromaniac by mp™.

Our current marketing initiatives include a combination of the following: flyers, articles on fashion websites and blogs, invitations to special events, radio shows, etc.
Potential new marketing / PR initiatives can be: continuously researching on events to attend to, coordinating and advertising monthly special events, conducting marketing outreach activities, organizing photo shoots with the designer, communicating with fashion editors and stylists, etc.

Duties and responsibilities include:
· Accompanying the designer to all special events she will be attending such as fashion shows, photo shoots, and other
meetings and social events in the fashion industry in Montreal. These events will be an opportunity to meet with
potential customers and to create media and industry related contacts
· Reporting back on all traditional and social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, fashion blogs, consumer fashion
magazines and newspapers to promote the brand Pyromaniac by mp™. You will also be coordinating sample requests
(getting samples to publication or media outlet for story) as well as media pitching (writing pitches and press releases)
· By understanding our target group and their “persona” you will then spend time driving our marketing initiatives. Your
initial task will be to create a marketing budget, timeline and rationale to be approved by the designer. Meetings will be
held bi-weekly to set goals and review previous activities and priorities and revise as needed
· Creative ideas to promote the line and sales strategies are also encouraged

Desired Qualification and Skills:
· Extremely outgoing and comfortable in funky environments with the ability to act independently when meeting with stylists, media outlets, prospective clients, and general public
· Extremely well versed in fashion blogs, websites, and magazines
· Experienced and knowledgeable in all new media including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr (manage Pyromaniac by mp™ existing Facebook and Twitter accounts)
· Self starter and great at research
· MUST BE SELF MOTIVATED and have excellent time management abilities as you will independently create media outreach plans and set up your own work schedule and deadlines
· Demonstrate strong creative written and verbal communication skills. Ability to craft press releases, and media plans (bring previous project or real samples to interview)
· A background in the fashion/design industry, retail, special events, PR and/or media
· Existing media list an asset
