The first edition of Berlin Fashion Film Festival will be launched during the upcoming Berlin Fashion Week. The festival, curated by some of the most influential characters of the international creative scene, groups together the most outstanding fashion film directors and emerging fashion design talent of our generation.

Berlin Fashion Film Festival presents fashion in an innovative way, combining film and fashion presentations. The event will consist in screening a selected range of fashion films juxtaposed with the live presentation of garments, in order to provide an introduction to interactive fashion films. The screening will be followed by drinks and music, giving the audience the chance to get to know the filmmakers, designers and their collections.

The selection of fashion films is curated by major international creative players, including, Esmod Berlin and Sugarhigh. FIER management, in collaboration with Furore, also offer the opportunity to submit fashion films through an online open call. Only the best ones will be shown at Berlin Fashion Film Festival. All films will follow specific guidelines to ensure the highest quality of production in terms of storyline, cinematography, music, script and fashion.

The fashion films presented will be assessed according to different criteria by an international jury, which will include names such as Diane Pernet, founder of A Shaded View on Fashion Film festival and Till Diestel, award winning CD and Innovation Director of Serviceplan Gruppe.

Following the event, the fashion films will be screened across Berlin throughout the duration of Berlin Fashion Week, and on selected websites, providing visibility to the emerging filmmakers and fashion designers presented. Berlin Fashion Film Festival returns fashion to its creative origins, supporting emerging talent by exploring fashion through cinema.

In addition to the curated filmmakers and fashion designers, BfFF offers the chance to submit films to be selected and shown at Berlin fashion Film Festival. A total of ten fashion films will be selected, five of which will have to be produced in collaboration with ESMOD students. Deadline: June 15th.
