Vauxhall Fashion Scout, the home of new talent, officially opens its applications for London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week S/S 2013, in the search for the leading new talent in fashion design.

As the leading international platform for new, emerging designers and hailed a “talent goldmine” by Vogue.com, Vauxhall Fashion Scout is renowned both in the UK and around the world for showcasing some of the most innovative names in the industry including: Peter Pilotto / David Koma / Felder Felder / William Tempest / Iris Van Herpen / Hermione De Paula / Leutton Postle / David Longshaw / Eudon Choi / Phoebe English.
From Monday 2nd April, designers can apply for Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s coveted awards: Merit Award / Ones To Watch

There will be no Menswear day at Vauxhall Fashion Scout for September 2012. “Vauxhall Fashion Scout is an integral part of the international fashion calendar. Now in its 13th season, Vauxhall Fashion Scout spans the full length of London Fashion Week and attracts over 12,000 guests to its permanent location of The Freemasons’ Hall each season. With two catwalk halls, an exhibition space and a VIP & Media Lounge, last season saw the biggest Vauxhall Fashion Scout event ever with 34 catwalk shows and presentations taking place over the six days.
Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s acclaimed Merit Award is worth £25,000 over three seasons, including a fully sponsored catwalk show and a £1000 bursary in the first season. Previous winners: William Tempest, David Koma, Hermione de Paula, Eudon Choi, Georgia Hardinge, Leutton Postle and last season’s winner Phoebe English.
The internationally recognised ‘Ones To Watch’ showcase is a back-to-back catwalk presentation, specifically designed to introduce the freshest new talents to the fashion market. A first opportunity to present your collections as a catwalk show to a UK and international audience.
Applications for the Paris Showroom are also open, providing designers with the unique opportunity to present their collection to international buyers and media during Paris Fashion Week. Bringing the soul of British and international design to the heart of the Marais, the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Paris Showroom will continue its sixth season in its newly launched showroom space, which saw fantastic press, buyers and industry visit the biggest collection of leading design talent from Vauxhall Fashion Scout.
Leading international retailers and media such as Opening Ceremony, Isetan, Saks 5th Ave, Beams, RA, B-Store, Avenue 32 and Vogue Italia visited 23 designers over six days during Paris Fashion Week.
Selected applicants will also be invited to benefit from the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Mentoring programme. Tailored specifically for emerging designers, the year-long programme ensures designers gain the skills required to develop and maintain a successful brand from leading industry experts across business planning, branding, production, sales, PR and manufacturing.
