“GEOME-TREES” is a contemporary fusion of “Geometry” and “Trees” adorned by gorgeous floral embroidery on sarees and drapes. These are not inventions of any particular group of artists, it is in fact lineages of rulers who encouraged, supervised and financed generations of architects, painters and craftsmen over a period of more than 250 years. This collection is an attempt to fuse that lineage of Mughal style floral and geometrical elements with the ‘desi khatla’ embroidery of Gujarat.
