This season Claudia Ligari presents us another capsule collection, small, bold, out of trend, out of “fashion”, out of time. She even chooses a different month to launch her AW14, underlining once again the brand’s philosophy: “the important thing, is to deliver quality garments”. Clean but important shapes are coming out of her very first Italian manufacture. Claudia stepped up and moved her production to where she belongs, her country. She carefully picked the most important pieces throughout her past collections and revisited them in a different key. Here, garments are talking for themselves, is to love or to hate. Elegant and easy in equal measure, Claudia experiments with bicolor fabrics, but not at the expense of beauty, remaining naturally true to her roots and proving once again that unisex garments can be very attractive. This collection reflects a more mature style, experimenting deeper with simple shapes and textures, but keeping that perfect clash between exciting materials with unpredicted silhouettes.

About the Designer

claudia is based in London, United Kingdom. She studied at Istituto Marangoni and graduated in 2004. Her collections are produced in United Kingdom.

Italian born designer Claudia Ligari launched her label in Spring Summer 2011.
Her collections are exploring a completely different way to express the strength of feminine sensuality with a peculiar androgyny that is one of the brand's signatures. Persistently, unpredictably the garments and materials in her collections refuse to conform. Contradicting forms and fabrics are bringing together chunky and functional shapes with fluid georgette and hammered silks.
An important collaboration with textile designer Jenny Leary is giving the collections a strong impact and a new way to experiment with materials and textures.
Reoccurring absence of colour always dominates, underlining the typical designer feature.
Rigorous and effortless, this is an unconventional triumph of the femininity, It’s a minimal look that is all about individuality.
