Concept: Inspired by 15th Century Leonardo da Vinci’s flight sketches and the flying machine wing details are like skeletons and translated into pleats. From the pleats, it will be interpret into manipulations and twisted into complex 3D construction and contoured to complement the female body by using soft delicate fabrics. About the Designer

Christine is based in Singapore. She studied at Lasalle College of the Art and graduated in 2010.

Christine Hung has been interested in fashion since young, as she watched her mum knit pretty dresses and accessories for her to doll up. Ever since, She was constantly amused by how a garment is being constructed, from the creation of designs through expressive ideas and designs development process, to a complete garment and finally being worn on. This gives her great satisfaction and motivation.
The passion for fashion and craft work didn’t die off, she enrolled herself in a fashion design course in LaSalle College of the Arts, built a strong foundation in fashion and Art, she had learnt how to translate her inspirational ideas in her design developments and was skilled in various manipulation methods on little details and transformation of a conventional garment to a 3 dimensional visual art. Her recent graduation collection is the perfect crystallisation of her passion for craft work and her interest in fashion development. Such application of skills from where she had acquired from and the appreciation for the Craft work application makes Cristyne.H an artisan.

Cristyne.H's recent graduation portfolio has been recently featured on local (Singapore) television shows; Star search 2010, Star award 2011 and ‘Lian He Zao Bao’ (Local Singapore Chinese morning papers) Newspaper, interviewed as a new young designer. These are key achievements that had aided in building up her recognition as an active and inspiring designer.
