CHATTY

Design studio Chatty introduce their lookbook of the Praying Mantis collection that had its premiere in the framework of this year’s Designblok. In their new collection CHATTY brought a new vision of a woman – a city samurai, a strong personality and individuality, that is in perfect harmony with the metropolitan environment. The collection was inspired by the Eastern interpretation of the symbol of praying mantis. In Japanese culture this insect is a carrier of the meaning of meditation, concentration as well as precision. The leitmotiv of the collection is the exceptional body build of a mantis. The aesthetics of a perfectly build insect body serves as a building stone of the silhouettes of all models. Surface finished denim in combination with leather represent power, hardness and flexibility. Lace, silk and fine jersey on the contrary stand for femininity and fragility. The horizontal structuring, deconstruction and symmetry give the collection pace and order. The whole set of 22 outfits has been designed in dull tones of black, brown and grey and only sometimes it is disturbed with eccentric solitaire in neon orange and turquoise colours. Together with this main collection CHATTY introduce also a sideline CHATTYdenim that is dominated with models from raw and polished cotton with sophisticated functional details and ornaments applied via the technique of 3D print.
