This collection is inspired by crystal caves. I was fascinated by the crystals and how they naturally grew. I took a visit to a cave and realized that so much of the beauty was removed by this outside force, the tourists. This collection plays with that dynamic. I was so intrigued by the disruption that we as visitors created to the cave in its natural form. I created this collection in that way. I wanted to juxtapose the crystal with the Lucite, artificial vs natural. It was also very important to me in this collection to manipulate Lucite to be a softer material but still keeps its core essence. This collection was to be soft, elegant, fragile and luxurious. After much research on materials, hardware, chain, and of course crystal caves the Brianna Fano Fall 2012 collection transpired.

Brianna is based in New York City, United States. She studied at Parsons and graduated in 2010. Her collections are produced in United States.

Brianna Fano was born and raised in Miami Florida. At a young age she started making jewelry with her mother. It was not until she was a bit older she decided fashion would be the career she would pursuit. It was on a trip to Italy with her father where she was so inspired by the Italian dress and spirit that really pushed her into the direction of fashion. She then spent much time learning how to make clothes on her own. She was accepted to Parsons and mainly focused on Ready to Wear. Jewelry became extremely important in her senior year when she worked on a small jewelery collection to support her senior thesis. In this time period she was approached by a local Lucite fabricator who was interested in seeing what Brianna could design using Lucite as a focal material within her Jewelry.Incorporating Lucite then became a part of the Brianna Fano language. Inspired by the childrens book "Animalia" she has designed a playful, nostalgic collection with a modern lucite twist. She is beginning to sell in stores around New York City and plans to expand into stores throughout United States within the next year. Brianna is looking forward to launching a new collection this year.
