My collection is based on a fictional character ‘Madame Veronique’ a woman of strength and power, who had never been able to express herself because of past events, and her feeling of being restricted. At every stage of the design process I had to keep in mind and ask myself: Where is the restriction? Where is the freedom? I wanted to create a feeling of space within a garment but at the same time a sense of confinement. It was important for me to create an interesting silhouette and an aesthetic that looked quite effortless, but really was made intelligently. Welcome to Madame V's journey.
