AZHAND_SHOKOHI

Haute Couture's popularity resumed after WWII. The Paris fashion houses reopened and resumed with high fashion. Square shoulders and short skirts were replaced by the soft femininity of Christian Dior's "New Look" silhouette, with its longer skirts, fitted waist, and rounded shoulders. Although Azhand Shokohi styles reflect the 50s, the designer wanted to start her first couture line reflecting this era which she desired the most. This features a rounded shoulder line, ballerina length dresses with frothy skirts and narrow pencil skirts with bolero jackets. Her collection is inspired by the construction and silhouette of women's clothing through the 1950s and of course her own creativity and imagination.
