"URBAN SPACE_final look" Urban space is a non-place that is shared between many worlds. A non-place meaning daily patterns that are to be found in everything in the world, cement, asphalt, pollution, buildings. Space is what is around us, the urban, the ordinary. The collection has been conceived for an explorer. Just like in space you can explore new worlds, so in our daily routine we explore different situations, for this reason the items are the amount of everything we experience and that is expressed through the materials. In our collection we share personal and universal space, and it's from the latter that we took the cuts inspired by astronaut suits.

About the Designer

AUS DEM is based in Italy. He studied at IUAV Venice and graduated in 2011. His collections are produced in Italy.

AUS DEM is a brand born in 2010. AUS DEM is a conjunction between Gianmarco Giacometti and Sara De Poli that met during their studies in Fashion Design at IUAV in Venice. Their artwork is a mix of tradition, research, identity, testing and quality. AUS DEM does not just want to make a product but to create a world in which it lives. With a range comprising both outerwear and accessories in heavy leathers, nylon and fur with a pre-apocalyptic feel, AUS DEM embraces the anonymity of the individual preparing them for rough conditions. While their AW 11/12 collection envisaged attire for an urban explorer in the "Urban Space", or "non-space", their current SS12 collection prepares its wearers for the onslaught of the apocalypse predicted by the Mayan calendar for 2012.
