As brand new label arrondissement Aq 1 wins Premium Young Designer Award Spring Summer 2010 for accessories. On July 1st fashion designer Christina Arend presented her premium label arrondissement Aq1 for the first time during Berlin Fashion Week – and won the Premium Young Designer Award Spring Summer 2010 for accessories. The renowned jury of the Premium team emphasized the accessories mix of materials and the perfect harmony with the complete Aq1 collection. The Premium Young Designer Award is given within the categories Men, Women and Accessories. The award includes, that the collection will be sold at the F95 Concept Store in Berlin shortly. The Women’s Wear High Fashion Label arrondissement Aq1 stands for sustained highend fashion and accessories in the higher price level. The Aq1 look is a mix of Casual, Evening, graphic straightness and special details. It combines exclusive fabrics, good manufacture and innovative trimmings. The current Spring Summer Collection 2010 includes two formations. Both formations stand for themselves but flow into a harmonious oneness at the same time. Apart from the clear design of Formation 1, with its tough self-confident and graphic look, the appeal of Formation 2 lies in a more feminine and voluminous silhouette. The general style of the collection reflects a casual look in summerlike colors, which can be easily combined. The awarded must-have accessories are essential lending the whole collection a rocky touch. The bags, belts and jewelry, named like Carry Love Bag, Foreverminebag oder Silverrain Necklace, complete the Aq1 look and turn it into an absolute eyecatcher! After working in many different lines of fashion business- among others the young Designer Christina Arend has worked for Kaviar Gauche Berlin, Jasmine Di Milo London, Fendy New York and has also done various freelance projects as an illustrator - it has always been her goal to realize her own internationally focused collection made in Germany. Aq1 is the Latin code for eagle. Also the Designers last name is the Dutch translation for eagle so it stands to reason that the independent and shining animal with all its attributes represents the label Arrondissement Aq1. Arrondissement Aq1 is a cosmos, which everyone has to explore and feel himself. The look of the premium label arrondissement Aq1 is a mix of Casual, Evening, graphic straightness and special details.
Designer Christina Arend presented her own label for the first time, with the spring/summer collection 2010, during Berlin Fashion Week – and won the Premium Young Designer Award Spring Summer 2010 for accessories.
The second collection „Oneness Universe“ is more random and more fluid, but still always retains the typical Aq1 design. arrondissement Aq1 stands for the new femininity.
„I feel very important that everything is related and forms a unity. The accessories are a special feature of my collection. They complete the entire Aq1 look and make it „unique“. Graphical lines will always be maintained, but broken by different elements, which consistently change.“, says designer Christina Arend.
In the first season arrondissement Aq1 celebrated a sensational success. Was part of the Tranoi fashion fair Paris and was assimilated in the EU Gateway program, a sponsorship that supports young designer at the launch in Japan.

Christina Arend, was born 1984 and grown up in southern Germany. After her fashion design studies and stations at Kaviar Gauche in Berlin, Jasmine Di Milo in London and Fendi in New York, as well as various freelance projects as an illustrator – it has always been her goal to realize her own internationally focused collection made in Germany. Aq1 is the Latin code for eagle.
