georgie is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Alpha60, the brother and sister design duo from Melbourne comprising of Georgie and Alex Cleary, never intended to create a label. Their t‐shirt designs started as a teenage pastime, made for Alex to wear, or sold in a local market. However, their friends loved their shirts so much that the demand soon propelled them into producing 5 shirts, then 10, and so Alpha60 was born.
Alpha60 is an unconventional label in many ways. For starters, their background is not in fashion. While Georgie studied graphic design, Alex’s first career was as an aircraft engineer. They are proud to say that they consciously try not to follow fashion in their designs, but prefer to stick to their tagline: “sophisticated quirk” by giving classic garments a darker edge. They envision their muse to be the lovechild of Maya Deren and Vinz from one of the films that has influenced their most recent collection, La Haine.
