About the Designer
Alexandra is based in Wellington, New Zealand. She studied at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design and graduated in 2008. Her collections are produced in New Zealand.
Alexandra Dodds' hauntingly beautiful work calls upon her fine arts background, which helps to mold and inspire her collection of precious metal jewelery. An experimental practice by nature, she explores the formal qualities and possibilities of found objects within the casting process. Each piece is truly a work of art, although Alexandra encourages them to be worn en masse, continuing the sculpting practice onto the hands of the wearer.
