ALAN_DONOVAN_TJON
This collection is based on the Byzantine Empire, artworks of Amie Dicke, photographs by Levi van Veluw and insects.
The silhouettes combine very short shorts with lengthy transparent trains split in two. Folding and draping play major roles in the construction of the garments and extend from the arm toward the back or the front, once again suggesting wings.
Fabrics range from the use of wet-looking faux fur and a porcupine looking shredded faux fur cut in strips, to a stiff geometric golden lace. The fabrics suggest a wild and torn spirit becoming a Byzantine princess.
However dark the collection starts off to be it transitions to a romantic, one shoulder dress done in white chiffon and embroidered lace with leather cut out overlay suggesting a deer a la Amie Dicke.
