abide is a new womenswear label and the creation of Kim Mckellar who is a fast emerging, Devon born designer. She is passionate about using the countryside she lives and works in to draw inspiration, but with a twist, preferring to utilise the comfort of natural materials and larger “open space” palettes to create garments and wardrobes that are truly interchangeable.

The abide collections are hand made in Devon, something abide are really passionate about- Inspired, designed and made in Devon.

Meadow Girls SS12

abide’s debut collection ‘Meadow girls’ embraces the idea of trans-style pieces crossing the areas of basics, work and evening wear. The collection is derived from the idea of a hot summers day. The image of Hazy beings amongst wild flowers and blue skies represents the collection.

The colour palette is washed and chalky with an injection of over exposed colour. Fabrics are worn and everything is kept delicate with the use of precious silks, linens and fine jersey.
