Nataraja means The Lord of Dance in Sanskrit. It is a depiction of the Hindu god Shiva as the cosmic dancer, who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for god Brahma to start the process of creation. The touch of „The Lord of Dance“ has enlightened the spirit of the fantasy-fuelled futuristic accessories, giving them
vibrating forms and unexpected shapes.

After traveling through Asia, Riina found herself loaded with inspiration from different corners of the continent. India left her mesmerized with numerous faces and hands of the Hinduism gods, and stunned by bright metallic colours and unexpected shapes. Other experiences included the amazing long necks of the North Thai Karen tribes-people and partly hidden faces of Muslim women, next to Chinese tourists, who wore medical masks at sightseeing. Adding to the Asian experiences a touch of burlesque and borrowing some style tips from the Wonder Woman the collection, „Nataraja“ was born. The result encompasses saree´s evolution into a latex corset and the mutation of a princess dress into a leather armour suit. The collection incorporates bags with faces and gloves with so many fingers that it is hard to count them all. The colours are dazzlingly shiny and the forms most outrageous.

The collection “Nataraja” was presented during Tallinn Fashion Week, Nov 2010 and during London Fashion Week, Feb 2011.
